When Suzanne said "yes" and we got married in 1974, she had never seen me do what I do for a living. I am an entertainer. Because I loved her, I wanted to take her on my world tour with me (as my wife) because as we both believe in the values and sanctity of marriage and fidelity, it would “look” better to the world! So, we got married! She had never seen the wild and enthusiastic fans that we had. What an eye opener she got!
Suzanne and I wanted the real and important things of life and a large family. The Good Lord blessed us with eight (8) sons! But, what makes her my hero is how she faithfully stood by me through the tough and trying times when I got Multiple Sclerosis. It cost me my health, my career, my future and skills, and I became disabled.
During the next years, she raised those eight (8) boys of ours, educated them and always faithfully stood by my side . . . with a message of Faith, Hope, Love, and a continued commitment to live our lives together for eternity! She carried my load, became my provider, my nurse and caregiver, and "in sickness or in health", NEVER complained or uttered a discouraging word.
I know what TRUE love is!
I know the Better Life!
It is Suzanne!
She is mine forever!
She is my HERO!
